Deep tissue massage focuses on the deeper layers of the muscle tissue. With this technique, our massage therapist will get to the root of your muscle aches and pains. The goal is to relieve chronic patterns of tension in the body through slow strokes and very deep pressure on concentrated areas specific to your needs.

A sports massage is similar to a deep tissue massage but more concentrated. This technique includes firm pressure, concentrating on muscles and connective tissue deep over the body, and may include stretching. In addition, the session might be targeted to a specific location of the body. Sports massage can improve range of motion and increase flexibility.

Hot stone massage is a specialized treatment integrating heated, smooth volcanic stones throughout a basic massage session. The warm stones are actively moved on your body and are never left "sitting" along your back. Hot stone massage is great during cold months to help soften muscles and target tight areas, allowing your massage therapist to work more effectively. Our hot stones are carefully heated and sanitized before each treatment. Hot stone massage is not recommended if you have high blood pressure or diabetes, or if you are pregnant.

If you are expecting, a prenatal massage is an excellent way to relax and release the tensions that inevitably develop as your body changes. Regular massage throughout pregnancy can help prepare for the birth experience. Prenatal sessions are done side-lying with a supportive grouping of pillows – a relaxing, comfortable and safe position. Our therapists are trained to avoid contraindicated areas and are not afraid to use a firm pressure (according to your desires and needs) to provide a satisfying and effective massage. As with all our massages, a gentle, food-grade massage oil is used. Essential oils deemed safe for pregnancy may also be used. Note: Please wait until the fourth month to schedule your massage. You may schedule prenatal massages up to one week prior to your due date.

Lymphatic massage uses gentle, rhythmic strokes to stimulate the body’s lymphatic system. This type of massage improves circulation and releases toxins that can accumulate in lymphatic tissue. In addition, lymphatic massage can aid in quicker healing and recovery after illness and certain types of surgeries.
